Entrepreneurs FAQs

I’m a founder but not based in Colorado, can I apply to pitch?

  • Short answer, yes! Seed Angel Forum was founded in Colorado and continues to be geared towards local entrepreneurs, but we have had Mountain West companies outside of Colorado pitch at our events.

Will I get funding commitments at the event?

  • It’s always possible, but this is not a guarantee of pitching at Seed Angel Forum. Investor-entrepreneur relationships take time to cultivate. Many entrepreneurs find the most valuable part of the event is forming authentic relationships with investors (and 49% of investors who have attended a SAF event have gone on to invest in an alumni company). Your goal should be to schedule follow-up meetings with investors that may be a good match.

If I’ve pitched in the past, can I pitch again?

  • Companies may only pitch one time.

If I’ve applied in the past but didn’t pitch, can I submit an application again?

  • Yes! We are fortunate to receive many high-quality applications but are limited to selecting 5 companies to pitch per event. We often prioritize companies with demonstrable traction, so we especially encourage you to reapply if you’ve made progress since your last application.

I’m raising a Series A round of financing, am I too late for SAF? What about a pre-seed round?

  • Our investors are a mix of angels, family offices and institutional investors, meaning their check sizes can range from under $50k to leading a round. We have had companies pitch for various rounds of funding ranging in size from $250k to $5mm.
